12-15 knots per linear inch, woven from the Carludovica Palmata plant , that is considered to be the ‘silk’ of vegetable plants.
Each cape takes 16 hours to weave by very skilled artisans and is hand woven in Ecuador .
The resulting weave is breezy , soft , crease resistant , durable and comfortable to wear in hot climates.
Whilst these Panamas are considered a semi fine weave they represent excellent value for money and offer durability and luxury at a value for money price
Orders can be taken in store for a super fine Panama that will take six months to weave and will be priced at several thousand pounds.
